ResolveLabs Tunnel

Accounts and tokens

Create a free account, log in from the terminal, reserve subdomains and create access tokens for CI.

1 min read

Every tunnel requires a free account. It also gives you reserved subdomains, TCP tunnels and access tokens. If you run rl-tunnel http 3000 without being logged in, the CLI offers to log in right away and then continues.

Create an account

Sign up on the website with your email and a password (at least 10 characters), then open your dashboard.

Log in from the CLI

rl-tunnel auth login shows a short code and opens your browser. Confirm the code on the page while logged in, and the CLI is connected. Nothing to copy and paste.

terminal
# Opens the browser to approve the loginrl-tunnel auth login# Who am I? (account and reserved subdomains)rl-tunnel whoami
output
To log in, open in your browser: https://tunnel.resolvelabs.com.br/device?code=BCDF-GHJKConfirm that the code is: BCDF-GHJK

No browser (SSH, container)? Add --no-browser and open the printed URL on any device. The code expires in 10 minutes.

Access tokens (CI and servers)

In the dashboard, create a token with a name you will recognize. It is shown only once; we store just a hash. Use it where a browser login is not possible:

terminal
# CI, servers and containers: no browser needed# 1. create a token in the dashboard 2. export itexport RL_TUNNEL_TOKEN=rlt_xxxxxxxxxxxxrl-tunnel http 3000# or save it on this machinerl-tunnel auth token rlt_xxxxxxxxxxxx

Reserved subdomains

Reserve a name in the dashboard (for example my-app), then run rl-tunnel http 3000 --subdomain my-app. Only your account can use it. See Persistent URLs.

Logout and whoami

terminal
rl-tunnel auth logout

auth logout only removes the credentials from this machine. To invalidate a token for good, revoke it in the dashboard. rl-tunnel whoami shows which account the CLI is using and the subdomains reserved in it.
